Seems like a lot of the 80's is getting a re-birth lately. Child of the 80's that I am, gotta love that, but while Care Bears, Strawberry Shortcake, Rainbow Bright, My Little Pony, She-ra, and even Gem have started popping back up, one of my favorites I remember from kindergarten, Rose Petal Place has yet to turn back up.
Looking back now, it was probably the earliest exposure I had to anything that was more related to art nouveau or at least something like it. The basic story as I remember it was that there was a little girl who loved her garden, but had to move. When she left, she visited her garden one last time and her tears fell on the flowers, turning to magical crystals and bringing them to life. Ok, it wasn't Shakespeare, but I was what, 4? That's high drama for that age
In any case, who knows, it may have had an influence on why I like art nouveau so much, maybe not, but felt like it was time it got a little tribute
Media: lineart-colerase brown on dura-lene, painting done in Photoshop and Painter.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
