I'm sure I can't be the first person to draw a kitten with Soot Sprites, but that's where the new little kitten living with me got his name from, so I just had to draw it 
I was watching the cute little black ball of fluff run around and thought to myself, "He looks just like a little soot sprite." Followed about two seconds latter by, "Dang it, I think I just named him, guess he's staying..." So yes, my new kitten Soot trying to figure out what those other fuzzy black things are.
Medium: Colerase pencil on vellum lineart with painting done in Photoshop and Painter.
