Last of the paintings done for Anime Expo, Aerith/Aeris from the Final Fantasy games done in an art nouveau style. That hair of hers just seemed too perfect for art nouveau.

Medium: Max oils on canvas with a waterbased glaze and an oil based Sharpie paint pen for the line work.

I think her hair just needed to be more curvy, it just looks kind of rough for art nouveau

I love how this has a tarot card feel to it. I'm really surprised it didn't sell in the expo back in 05. It's really great work, and I'd love to see what other characters (from FF or other games) you could make like this.
