*Note: Yes, this is a mixed media piece. The base is done with dark umber watercolor pencil and wash while the color is done in Photoshop. Yes, that technically puts it under the heading of digital art, but since it looks tradional, devArt admin said to put it in traditional.*

Ok, now that the fun little warning is done, here's another Mara Jade concept piece. Finished reading Heir to the Empire, Dark Force Rising, and The Last Command and am almost done with Specter from the Past, but this isn't a specific illustration from any of those, just working out her design still.

A little more rendered out than the others, but I'll prob'ly still change a few things before I sttle down on a version I'm happy with, not that I'm displeased with this, I like the concept and it's helping me work through the images in my mind, but it's still not screaming 'Mara' quite yet ;) I'll prob'ly still make her a little taller and a little older.

but of course hehe =) that why I said it =) hehe Mara is Helga'a great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great grandma depending on how long ago, and far away the star wars saga would be hehe.....yeah I silly...sorry =)

no cause the whole "long ago, in a galaxy far far away..." I have always thought as something that would have happened like hundreds of years ago, but thats me =)
but not knowing timeline for it for sure...lets just say they are the same person.....she just dyed her hair at some point LOL she's immortal!!! hey and that would explain how she could get out of the volcano alive hehe =)
