Happy Mardi Gras Ok, it's not until tomorrow, but I'm really busy at the moment and I figured better a day early than late. I probably should not have taken the time to do this at the moment, actually, but I haven't missed a Mardi Gras yet since joining dev and I don't intend to start now. Especially this year, considering the incredible effort people went through to make sure the celebration in New Orleans would go on, it didn't seem right for me not to give it my all, too.

For those who don't know, Green, Gold, and Purple are the colors of Mardi Gras representing Faith, Power, and Justice respectively. So here are those three ideals represented in muse-like form.

So why am I such a Mardi Gras nut? Dunno, one of those great mysteries of life, but I suspect a lot of it has to do with the costumes and general pagentry. Since I'm on the wrong side of the country to actually go to New Orleans, this is how I celebrate. I try to make each of my Mardi Gras my pieces at least a little different, so this time, I thought it would be fun to go the direction I did with that Corpse Bride piece earlier this year.
