Even though I started on this months ago, I almost didn't finish it on time

At any rate, Happy Mardi Gras 2007!
I try to go a different direction with this piece every year and this year, I wanted something kindof nostalgic, like it might have come out of a 1950's children's book (well, as much as a Mardis Gras piece can feel like that ). Lots of inspiration from different costumes I've seen over the years and of all places, the Nutcracker Ballet.
