Sixth of a 12 piece series that will become the 2005 Retro Girl Calendar. I skipped ahead a bit (obviously). November features a distinctly American theme and my appologies for that for those living in other areas, but if not the holiday, I think the spirit of Thanksgiving is universal. Just a specific day set aside to give thanks for the food on our table and the roofs over our heads, that we are here and survive. Though that often gets lost in the football games and gorging on turkey, the message is there.
And do you know how hard it is to make a turkey look cute? They aren't exactly the cutest birds on the books... but it would seem the retro-ized pilgrim would prefer to hug a turkey rather than eat it
This piece is dedicated to
, the wonderful people who watch me who have their birthdays in the month of November.
Medium: Original sketch drawn over in Photoshop with the pen tool, not vectors since the lines and shapes rasterize. It is similar process, but by devart definitions, anything that rasterizes is not vector art. Details added with brush tool.
