Sorry, I guess I'm a few hours late on this. To say things are busy, I guess I'd sound like a broken record, so I won't say it....but well, they are
So here she is, as you asked for this year, the voting ran from 9/5 to 10/1, you had the chance to vote on the subject for this year's People's Choice piece. It was close (really close at times) but you chose Valkyries as the ultimate winner.
In the traditional sense, within the Norse Mythology, these women were the servants of Odin who would search for the bravest warriors in battle to take to Valhalla in preparation for Ragnarok. The concept seemed to be universal enough that I tried to see where else I could apply it. WWII seemed to be a good fit as there was a lot of propaganda about bravery on the field of battle, so I went with more of a airplane 'nose art' style.
For anyone disapointed by that who wanted a more traditional approach, it's your lucky day, too I can't say enough how wonderful and patient you guys have been with me this year as I get my life kindof settled, so this is only the first, there are going to be a couple more versions coming down the line just to say thanks
Seriously, you guys are the best, you really make deviantART everything it is and I can't thank you enough for yet another incredible year. Hugs all around
Media: Gouache on watercolor canvas.
And in a slightly ironic twist, I must appologise for the large watermark, I've had two pieces ripped to auction on 'eBay-like' sites in the past couple weeks, so I just gotta be a little tougher on that stuff.
To that same end, do not take, use, or repost this work without express permission. Much thanks in advance
The shading on the skirt is fantastic!
I really like this piece.
Although her leg in the foreground looks like its in a very difficult angle, but other than that this is good

It turned out so amazing! I spent the weekend at the Museum of Flight with my dad and they had a big WWII section and this looks like it belongs on one of the planes. Totally love it.
And on another note I would never grudge an artist for watermarking their work, it just makes sense to me.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

Me? Why, I'm Ms. Mowz, the globe-trotting thief! Heard of me, sweetie? ♥I agree that the leg angle is just a little akward. Maybe to curved? Still great though!
And on another note I would never grudge an artist for watermarking their work, it just makes sense to me.
