My loving tribute to the comedy trio of the old 'Road to' movies, Bing Crosby, Bob Hope, and Dorthy Lamour. This piece isn't based off any one film in particular, just the three of them. If you've never seen any of the Road to films, I highly reccomend them. Road to Singapore was the first, but Road to Morraco is my personal favorite.
The films all have a very campy-fun style (a forerunner to the more recent Mel Brooks comedies, really) and I wanted to keep that feel to this piece which is why I used that retro/Shag style again. I think it carries the energy and light hearted feel I wanted. Medium: Original sketches taken into Photoshop 6.0 and colored over there. No, I did not vector it. I did not figure out how to vector until the very end of the piece and am now kicking myself because that would have made it about a hundred times easier. Next time I do something in this style, I'll try the vectors. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
