I did the sketch for this piece almost exactly one year ago during a break in my animal/wildlife drawing class. My intention was to finish it out with ink and guache paint, but with one thing and another, it never got done. Well, I've been seeing a lot of Zelda stuff lately and I figured it was a sign I should get off my you know what and finish it
Princess Zelda, Ocarina of Time version done in the Art Nouveau style. I thought gold ink would be perfect for her, but I ran into trouble because of all the gold accents on her clothes and jewelry. I tweaked it in Photoshop so they don't blur together so much, but were I to tackle this again, I don't think I'd use the gold ink.
Media: Gold acrylic calligraphers ink on bristol board with guache paint with accents in Photoshop.
Oh, it's lovely! The colors you used are so warm and royal-looking. (Gold and purple! Yay!) It does become a little hard to see your wonderful linework around her hair and jewelry, but it's really outstanding even at that.
