Edit: Ok, those who watch me, you know I never never insist on this, but for the love of all that is art, PLEASE full view this one. You get nothing from the thumbnail. Well, you get something, but it's not really a good impression of the piece. Like I said, I never push for one view or the other...until now. So please, heed my advice ;)

*Small spoiler notice. If you have not yet read the Thrawn Trilogy: Heir to the Empire, Dark Force Rising, and The Last Command, but are planning to and want EVERYTHING to be a complete surprise, do not read the following. Skip to below the dashed line. If you have read the trilogy and or don't care if a minor plot point is spoiled, please, by all means, continue ;) *

Mara Jade in her dancing costume from Jaba's palace. This is where she first technically meets everyone, when they come to get Han out of the carbonite. I've seen a couple different designs for her dancing costume, one in the 'By the Emperor's Hand' graphic novel and one in the 'Last Command' graphic novel, but as was pointed out with the wedding dress, it's just plain more fun to come up with your own thing ;)

I did cross a couple elements of the two previous designs, and tossed in a couple of my own touches. The color comes from the version in 'By the Emperor's Hand.' I don't know that I would have chosen lavender on my own, but it's a nice warm tone and doesn't clash with her hair.

That's her old lightsaber there, not her newer one, so I had a little fun with the design.

Ok, if you're just skipping to here, Mara Jade from the Star Wars novels. This was inspired by one of the guys at work that's been digging my Star Wars art lately. Specifically, I just thought he'd enjoy it ;)

The pose is adapted from the same Alberto Vargas painting I used to get the pose for the 'Woman in Uniform' piece. I felt bad doing the same pose again, but it's such a great pose ;) The second I thought of doing this piece, that was the pose that came to mind and nothing else just seemed to fit quite the same.

No, your eyes aren't playing tricks on you, I kept the costume design asymetrical, so she only had the leg guard on one side. That's a gold chain around her waist and her hair is pulled into a double divided ponytail kindda thing (you can see one coming over the back and the other is just barely visible behind the oposite arm).

Medium: Prismacolor pencil on toned paper.

Ok, I think I've covered everything. Forgive me if I left something out or feel free to ask ;)
