Star Wars: Shada D'ukal

Another character design after reading the Star Wars Thrawn Trilogy, this is Shada D'ukal. She only comes up in the third book, Heir to the Empire, but she struck as such a cool concept, I had to draw her (come to find out she plays a major part in the two book sequel to the Thrawn Trilogy, The Hand of Thrawn, but that's another story for another time )

In Last Command, she is a bodyguard to the smugler, Mazzik, though she is supposed to look like an unassuming armdecoration at first glance. Those laquered needles in her hair become weapons she throws at attackers should the need arise. At any rate, it sounded cool and it was one of those I just had an instant picture in my mind. I'll have to tackle Mazzik later, along with the later version of her from The Hand of Thrawn books... So many characters, so little time...
